Star Struck

SQUEEE!!

I am still so excited I got to meet Richard Ian Cox and I got his autograph!  Inuyasha was one of my first animes that I watched all the way through or almost all the way through.  So getting to meet him was super exciting for me.  He was so funny at the Voice Actors After Dark Panel, apparently people have told him that he doesn’t sound like Inuyasha and the other characters he does. While we were standing in line I was so excited that I was galloping (I normally do this when I get excited).  I was completely starstruck, still am in a sense.  Although as I got closer to their table I felt bad for Richard Ian Cox and Peter St. Paul because it seemed like no one wanted their autographs, everyone wanted Cherrami’s autograph.  I guess every year you will have that one person everyone wants, last year it was J Michael Tatum.  Also got autograph from Keith Silverstein, I asked him to sign it as “I like my own hand” because someone said that at the voice actors after dark panel, and he did it laughing.  He said “I know which panel you went to last night.” It was pretty cool.  Though IMDB said Phil Lamar was in Resident Evil, but he wasn’t.  Needless to say I was a little embarrassed because I gave him the cover to the game and he said he wasn’t in that one.

Spent a good part of the day just wondering around and enjoying the different cosplays that we seen.  There was a “Wreck It Ralph” even had the huge hands.  He stood on stairs and chairs and things while people took pictures with him so that he appeared taller than he really was.  It was cool.  My favorite cosplayer was there again this year.  I didn’t catch his name again this year, but he was Jack Skellington, complete with stilts so he was super tall.  Last year he was alone, this year he had his girlfriend with him and she was Sally.  They both looked great, she even did her make-up to look like Sally, straight down to the color of skin.  The cosplayer told me the slits didn’t hurt persay, it was more walking around all day and standing for pictures and things that made his feet hurt, just as if a woman wore high heels all day long.  There was also a really good Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi but I couldn’t get out of line to get her picture or talk to her.  It is great seeing all the costumes and talking to some of the people and finding out how much time and dedication was put into their costumes.  Its exciting.  A few times I heard people whisper:  “Its Peter White, I know that one” even a little kid said that one.  Toni and I had a girl looking all over the convention to get us together since she was Boris.  Both our characters were from Alice In The Country Hearts.
