Tonight was the first night we’ve been at Anime USA. So far we have being having so much fun. There have already been a lot of amazing cosplays. My favorite thing we did tonight was the Masquerade ball. An hour or so before hand Amy and I went to dance lessons where we learned the basics for some ballroom dancing like the waltz and cha-cha. Every so often we would switch partners so we got to meet a lot of nice people. One guy was actually a dancer and helped me learn the steps in an easier way. A few of the guys who understood the steps were helpful, but there were also a few guys who didn’t really care and would get frustrated that I didn’t know from like 1 time practicing. It was a great way of meeting new people even ladies because we broke off in ladies and men to learn our steps then tried it with the men. It was fun, though my cosplay dress was so long that everyone was stepping on it, including myself.
The masquerade was a lot of fun to see all the different types and colors of masks. Tom and I had a lot fun dancing and I danced with another girl, okay we twirled around and made our dresses fan out. It looked so pretty and it was fun, even though I made myself dizzy. In order to get into it you needed to have a mask, but if you didn’t have one with you the staff provided you with one which was nice. That didn’t exclude anyone from the fun of a masquerade ball and dancing. The lighting was really cool and I enjoyed listening to the different video game and anime songs that had a ballroom dance feel to it, I am pretty sure most of it came from Cowboy Bebop.
