The next convention Cosplay Kitchen is planning on attending is Anime USA in November, which is going to be held in Washington DC convention center. This is a new venue for the convention so we are excited to see how the layout and everything will be. Last year we volunteered our time to the convention and was able to hang out with the voice actors who were guests last year like Micah Soulsod (Soul Eater) and J. Michael Tatum (Black Butler). That in itself made the convention so much fun as well as getting to see Matenrou Opera in concert. This year we are thinking about either staffing or volunteering again, but not 100% positive on that yet.
In the upcoming months I plan on working on some cosplays for Anime USA, one is one of Gumi’s outfits and the other is a female version of Peter White from Alice In The Country Heart. Some of us at cosplay kitchen want to do gender bender for some of the characters and Peter is mine. I already have some ideas of how I want to make the costume and some ideas of accessories like his clock being a purse. I might make some clock earrings to go with it. I have to plan out everything and once I begin doing that I will put up pictures and updates of course. I also plan on making various earrings for the art auction as well as for myself. Those I am going to sculpt and mold. Again I will post pictures and updates.
But we are all very excited and are trying to get things worked out early enough that we don’t have to worry and rush around when it comes closer. It should be fun as always, especially if we have a whole group again.
