Otakon Or Bust!!

In a few short hours we will be leaving for Baltimore for this year’s Otakon.  I am beyond excited because we will be doing Vocaloid’s Sandplay of The Singing Dragon as a group.  I am excited to wear my dress and the wig, though I have a feeling it is going to be heavy because it is long and has the ponytail attachment.  I hope it doesn’t get all tangled up and what not, but I have a strong feeling that it will get that way.

I downloaded an app for my phone called guidebook and it gives me the schedule of events and map for Otakon so instead of carrying around the program or a piece of paper, all I need is my phone.  And I can also set reminders for the panels or workshops that I would like to go to.   I am excited to see how it works and how useful it is while we are at the convention.  I will let you all know how amazing it is, hopefully we can use it for other conventions like Anime USA or Tekkoshocon.  We shall see.  Some members of Cosplay Kitchen are already on their way to the hotel and we all will be meeting there soon to begin our weekend of fun at Otakon.  I have a feeling we won’t be going to too many panels, but spending time having fun together.

Going to a convention with other people is always more fun than going to one on your own. It gives you someone to talk to, and just joke around with.  Hopefully there will be plenty of places for Floor is Lava…but if I remember correctly there aren’t too many places, but we will see what we can come up with or even end up doing something else that is just as fun as that one.  It is time for sleep before the long journey from the outer banks to Baltimore.
