Gaming mogul Nintendo is reported to make a comeback in producing movies that are based from their popular array of games, like the 1993 film Super Mario Bros.
However, the 1993 flick was a major flop and did not do justice for the iconic video game.
The idea was brought out during the E3 conference by Nintendo representative Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto’s statement received a mixed reaction and though the idea will eventually die a natural cause, it’s creating a stir in the industry.
Although there were movies that were based on a video game, none of them were successful in translating the gameplay or story line.
