Renaissance Faire

Every weekend for the next few weekends is the Renaissane Faire.  I have never been able to go to the Faire, but this weekend I got to go and I was super excited.  We dressed up in period clothes, Melissa and I were royalty and Tom was the Assassin from Assassin’s Creed.  Yes, the costume is considered period accurate.  People were calling us Lord and Ladies the entire day and I got the curtsy to people, so much fun…sometimes I think I was born in the wrong period.

There was this beautiful Faerie (pictured left), she was so in character the way she walked and acted.  She didn’t speak a word to anyone but did sign language and acted in a manor that I would expect a faerie would act.  At one point she was playing in the woods by herself with bubbles.  Anyone who approached her, she game a gem and some faerie dust.  One of our friends was a faun and was playing with her in the woods, it was so cute and other people enjoyed watching them.

Seeing so many people in costume and all the little kids in costume and enjoying themselves. I had little girls getting excited because they thought I was a princess, especially when I was watching the joust.  I was in all of my glory, it was the perfect combination of everything that I love.  Even got the throw a tomato at a guy insulting us.  It was a lot of fun, I even wanted to look into what it would take to work the Faire next year, even though it would be a long drive just for work each weekend.  I cannot wait to go again.  If you get a chance you should check it out.  Until next time all.

^_^
